ISO 9001’s primary purpose is to provide organisations with useful internationally recognised models for operating a quality management system. ISO 9001:2000 is the current version of this standard.

ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised environmental management system standard, similar in structure to the ISO 9001 quality management system standard. ISO 14001 outlines several key requirements to which companies should comply in order to operate in an environmentally responsible manner. Some of the advantages to be gained through the implementation of ISO 14001 include risk reduction, cost reductions and increased competitive advantages.
